This has been my favourite place to get my nails done over the last year. My acrylic sets done here have always lasted a month before needing a fill. I’ve also had a shellac manicure and pedicure here that I was very happy with. I’ve had a different staff member do my nails each time and they have all been very friendly and provided quality service.

Definitely worth the extra cash! And FAR superior to the Kildonan location. (My one visit there was a waste, comments you can find under their file).

Walk in or appointment, I always get exactly what I request, and the entire experience is relaxing! I walk out refreshed and feeling fierce.

The lady who did my nails did it very roughly and rushed, even though the place was empty. They charged me $100 for a plain simple set just for my acrylic nails to start snapping off and chipping in the span of 2 weeks. They refused to fix them for free. So I had to get them fixed at another salon, and they didn’t charge me! A day after two other nails snapped off. I get my nails done every month at Blue Amber Nail Salon and they last me more than a month without a chip or a crack. They were closed that day I went so I decided to go here and I won’t be coming back! Give your money to Blue Amber Nail Salon! They’re much better at there job.

I met up with my wife and kids here after they had already started getting pedicures. On a whim, I decided to join in. From the beginning, the staff were extremely pushy with upselling extras. I thought I had agreed to a simple hot stone massage, but it turned into an overpriced, elaborate foot soak instead.

During the pedicure, the technician trimmed a few nails and then zeroed in on my big toe, which had a slightly ingrown nail—not severe, just minor with no discomfort. What followed was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had. While chatting with coworkers, she began aggressively digging into my nail. Within a few minutes, I felt the tool slip sharply under the nail—immediate, excruciating pain followed by bleeding. That finally got her attention.

Instead of stopping, she kept asking if I was okay while awkwardly trying to stop the bleeding and continuing the pedicure. She never returned to trim the rest of my nails—just prodded at the wound intermittently. At the end, she claimed she had to dig out a bunch of skin because of the ingrown nail, but it was clear from her reaction and the injury that she simply slipped due to not paying attention.

There was no apology, no real acknowledgment of the mistake, and absolutely no professionalism in how it was handled. Nearly a week later, I’m still in severe pain with every step due to it being infected—entirely preventable if the technician had been focused on the job instead of socializing.

This was by far the worst service experience I’ve ever had.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.

The management is so disrespectful and rude. There was a discrepancy on the pricing because their website was updated in March but the prices do not reflect that in their salon. Also, two days after getting my acrylic nails done… one broke. I emailed their customer service and they offered to fix it, but I didn’t want to go back to a place that made me feel uncomfortable. I asked if I could go to the other location and they refused to allow that. Terrible customer service and will not recommend this place to anybody.
